The Prioress

In the Canturbary Tales, Chaucer describes the Prioress as the exact opposite of what a Nun should be.

By definition, a nun should be a woman member of a religious order, especially one bound by vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

Instead, in the Tales, the Nun is depicted a being very self concetied, self absorbed, and attention seeking. She does not act humble and selfless like a nun is expected to act.
